Educational Programs

The Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center seeks to encourage and support meaningful interactions with its permanent collection and special exhibitions by providing guided tours for the public. From school groups to social clubs, the Art Center aims to provide your group with an engaging looking experience.
For Schools:
Our tours and gallery activities are designed to correspond with your classroom curriculum. From creative writing to history to math, students will see the connections between their homework and the visual world around them.
The Art Center is proud to offer the Every Artwork Tells A Story (EATS) program which brings the gallery experience to your classroom. Our student docents are available to come to school to lead a student- centered discussion about works of art from our collection. EATS provides a unique opportunity for classes to learn from the full- range of their classroom from the comfort of their classroom. EATS, like our gallery tours, can be customized to address particular subjects and themes. EATS can be requested separately or in conjunction with a visit to our galleries.
All school and community programs are free.
Commercial Tour Groups:
Touring groups have found a visit to the Art Center a delightful part of any trip through the Hudson Valley. Tours are customized to meet the needs of your group and can be designed to compliment the day’s itinerary.
Guided tours for commercial groups are $50. Checks should be made payable to: Vassar College.
