Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center will close temporarily for roof repairs after May 18, 2010, re-opening in January 2011

During the hiatus, the Art Center will schedule programs at other campus locations and Vassar students and faculty will be provided some access to works in the Art Center's permanent collection, strictly for course-related purposes. However, no public attendance at the museum will be possible until the repairs are complete and the museum is fully reopened in January 2011.


Late Night at the Lehman Loeb will “Raise the Roof” with the Chris O'Leary Band on May 13, 2010.

Join with the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center and help “Raise the Roof” at Late Night at the Lehman Loeb on Thursday, May 13, from 5:00 to 9:00pm. Enjoy one more Late Night at the Art Center before the building is closed for roof repairs from May 18 through January 2011. This special evening will include a performance by noted blues musicians, the Chris O’Leary Band.

Sarah LaDuke, the producer of WAMC Northeast Public Radio's "The Roundtable," interviewed Art Center curator Patricia Phagan about the exhibition, At the Heart of Progress: Coal, Iron, and Steam since 1750 – Industrial Imagery from the John P. Eckblad Collection as well as artist and professor Harry Roseman and Art Center curator Mary-Kay Lombino about the site-specific installation, Harry Roseman: Hole in the Wall.

The Art Center stays open late Thursdays 5-9pm. Enjoy extended gallery hours in an enlivened atmosphere with creative happenings every week.
