Selected by curator Joel Smith from the collections of the Art Center and several lenders, the seventy photographs in this exhibition range from nineteenth-century stereographs to recent computer-aided imagery, from staged arrangements to candid street scenes, from Victorian parlor humor to postmodern provocation, and from anonymous snapshots to works by such well-known artists as Man Ray, Weegee, Lee Friedlander.
